What exactly is “wellness”?

At NYPT, we define it as the ability to move well and feel well. While it might sound simple, in reality, it is actually quite difficult to determine how well you can move and feel because most of the time, we simply are not aware of what exactly our bodies are going through. With the expert eye and intuition of your trainer, you will learn that simple tasks such as squatting down to pick something up shouldn’t feel painstaking, and that a mobility problem is likely the culprit, or that signs of chronic dehydration may point to a deeper, underlying health issue that needs to be addressed. For issues with mobility, we turn to our resident licensed massage therapist and our postural restoration therapist. For general health concerns, our naturopathic doctor, Dr. Serena is available for virtual appointments at your convenience.
